Food, climate justice and community: Young people as protagonists of change with the Food Wave project
The Erasmus Generation lead the change organizing a competition for all the Erasmus and International students in Italy that starts during Europe Day! Recipes from different countries, a Mistery Box and a final Master Class with a chef of honour will be some of the highlights of the event. ESN Italy in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, for the project Food Wave, is launching the very first Digital Cooking Contest fully dedicated to recycled and low environmental impact food. What are you waiting for?
The aim is to pass on to the younger generation the importance of adopting sustainable practices in urban food production and consumption for climate change mitigation. The project, funded with ca. 8 ml of Euros by the European Commission through the DEAR (Development Education and Awareness Raising) programme, aims on the one hand to stimulate activism among the under-35s and on the other to encourage dialogue with institutions to promote the global transition to a sustainable food system by 2030.
