ESN Italy is the Italian network of University Associations that are part of the Erasmus Student Network International. It was founded on October 22nd, 1994 on the initiative of the members of the most ancient Italian sections (Siena, Parma, Pavia, Politecnico Milano, Trento, Bologna and Genova) interested in creating a coherence of intentions and a coordination of activities which would reproduce, at a national level, the organization of the wider international network.
At present, it is composed of 53 active sections in the national area, while others are being re-structured. Local sections offer daily assistance to international students and they are supported by academic authorities in order to create a fruitful exchange environment for international students.
HOW DOES ESN ITALY WORKS?
Through the Italian sections activity, whose management and ordinary administration is authorized at a local level, on the model of the National and International Association organization, to a Directing Committee, composed by a President, a Vice President, a Treasurer, a Secretary, a Local Representative, a Communications Manager and a Projects Manager who work with a common agreement with the Members Assembly.
ESN members take periodical reunions at a local, national and international level to program together their activities and to improve the network.
